Fake news leaves the station

Hey here’s another blog on the digital journalism mission. After being very stressed about our video not being up to par with the rest of the class before I watched all the video I have calmed down and believe that our one is one of the best and the effort we put in definitely shows. With our audio being good our editing being well made I feel we showed that we can use adobe premiere even though it doesn’t work sometimes. I believe it was a great idea that I brought in my microphone and it gave us an advantage to people working in their phones. Also Eddie was a big advantage since he was already familiar with adobe premiere and other products more so than I or Justin but that does not mean he did all the work. I believe that editing as a team did us a great advantage and solidified our team effort. Also I’m very glad we didn’t make it a live action video and sued screen recording because we didn’t really have the best cameras and I believe it would ruin the video. I believ

Can't stop the fake news train

Hey guys I’m back again to talk about the final product for my digital journalism assignment. I feel like the project was definitely the best one I made so far and i could not have done it without Eddie and Justin. The final product is well researched and we put a lot of effort into it making the articles and making the website and all the social Medias we put a considerable amount of time into it all definitely exceeding the time that was needed. The editing process itself took up an entire days’ worth with one break for food. All three of us worked vigorously hard to create the final product. The problem I had with the video was how it was exported because for some reason the video was adamant to export in glorious 360p instead of 1080p which was great but the footage was still visible from far away as it was played on a massive projector so the quality doesn’t matter as much as it still shows the effort that was made.  I also would want to rerecord my voice liens as I fe

Fake News central

  Hey i'm back again this time doing a project on fake news today and in the past hope you enjoy. First of all i had to pick a mission there where several missions that where semi interesting but digital journalism seemed like the one i could play around with the most.After establishing what mission i was doing i started looking for a team we where now able to go with anyone in the class and not just our groups but i still decided to go with people in my class since i knew what they where like.Justin joined me first and shortly after Eddie joined us. The memeing must stop

Hey im back after the presentation to say what went well and what can be improved. The presentation went well apart from technical difficulties with sound which resulted in us being unable to play the music which was a vital part of one of the sub genres but the links are still there so you are able so you can listen to the audio. Also I feel I made the power point well and the images I included showed of the memes of the sub genre and it got a few laughs which is what memes what memes are about so i count it as a win in my book. What I could have went better in the presentation was the speakers I feel maybe I didn't give enough time for my partners to prepare and also i should have gave them more slides to talk about but he number was uneven. I feel on my part the research I did was good but i maybe should have read in even more in depth into the topics .

Memers rise up

Hey I'm back with a presentation about memes this time. First I made team with Bernard again and Godwill and decided to take some time to think about how we are going to do the presentation. We decided that doing a presentation on meme subcultures would be a good idea  so we would each decide on a subculture and we,d all research them together so we would have a wide range of knowledge to share for the presentation. I also decided  I would make the power point. I to explore the Yugoslavian 90s civil war because i find it strange that its even a meme since it was such a brutal war and wasn't that long ago. Bernard picked slice of life memes and Godwill picked the recent raid on area 51. We then decided we would meet up to talk more about the project over the midterm but i caught the flu so we couldn't really meet up till we where back in college. The Gif season fianle

I'm back after doing my presentation on the gif . Doing the presentation with my team i learned the importance of power point, I thought early on that since everyone in my class was doing a powerpoint we shouldn't do one to be more original. It didn't go as planned to say the least but the content that me and Jack made and the Bernards research i feel was good but could have been more all and all it was a learning experience and definitely will help during my next project

A New Gif

Hey I'm back with a more interesting post than the last one I will tell you the process of making gifs for a group project. It started with me trying to do a completely different project which included game design but I needed at least another member so I had to jump ship and joined the gif team. After looking for a partner I found Bernard and later Jack this would be our gif making team for the next two weeks. Bernard decided he would d the research on the history of the gif  since he said he wasn't tech savvy at all so me and Jack would make the gifs. after trying to make the 12 frame animation in gimp for two hours I realised I cant draw so I decided to make the easy gifs first and then move on too the more complex gifs.I started with the video clip so I went on youtube and looked at funny clips from streamers and films. after finding a clip form the 2009 movie Black Dynamite (which is hilarious and you should watch it) I was satisfied and downloaded the clip.
